A seasonal maintenance list for Squamish, Vancouver and Whistler homes

Homes that are kept up sell more easily and inspect more cleanly. A short list each season is enough.

Autumn

• Clear gutters, downspouts and drains before the rain.
• Service the heating system.
• Check exterior caulking and any exposed wood.

Winter

• Watch for condensation on windows and address ventilation early.
• Keep walkways and steps safe for visitors.

Spring

• Look at the roof from the ground for lifted or missing shingles.
• Test sump pumps and perimeter drainage.

Summer

• Service air conditioning or heat pumps before the heat.
• Paint and seal exterior surfaces while they are dry.
